on her left arm (where billy bob used to be) Angelina got tattooed the exact geographical location of all of her children's birth places, Maddox-Cambodia, Zaharah-Ethiopia, Shiloh-Namibia.

Angelina Jolie got this tattoo in Bangkok, where she spent two hours having the tattoo done. The tattoo was blessed by the tattoo artist (Sompong Kanphai) who chanted an ancient hymn while doing it. Angelina said that she felt that her life had been filled with luck after she received the first tattoo from him.

This tattoo is a design that means "Strength of Will" in Arabic. This tattoo covered up a tattoo she had gotten along with ex-husband Billy Bob Thornton.

.Buddhist prayer,
A Magical Pali incantation written in Khmer, the native language of Cambodia. She got this tattoo to protect she and Maddox, her son, from bad luck and avoid accidents. It reads:

May your enemies run far away from you.
If you acquire riches, may they remain yours always.
Your beauty will be that of Apsara. (a celestial dancer in Khmer mythology)
Wherever you may go, many will attend, serve and protect you, surrounding you on all sides.
"I asked for it to be done in Buddhist Sanskrit, which is part of (Maddox's) history." For the Monks who perform the tattoos, and for the Thais who normally recieve them, the tattoo would have tremendous spiritual significance. Such tattoos are thought to be powerful amulets to protect a person from harm.

.Prayer for the wild at heart kept in cages,
quoted from Tennesee Williams; went to get it with her mom. "I have a prayer for everyone when I see people who aren't living fully, who aren't happy.
